KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik said all mobile phones sims which are unregistered or issued on fake identity card would be blocked within the next 15 days.

He was talking to media after a meeting with Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) delegation at Governor House on Thursday.

Rehman Malik said mobile phone companies have been directed to block all such cellular phones tonight which have the same IMEI numbers.

The Federal Interior Minister said the government will take all necessary measures to provide protection to the business community in the metropolis.

Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan and Sindh Minister for Irrigation, Jam Saifullah Dhareejo were also present.

Earlier, a delegation of KCCI led by prominent businessman, Siraj Kasim Teli attended a meeting at Governor House.

The Interior Minister, Rehman Malik also attended the meeting. The representatives of the business community informed the meeting with regard to problems being faced to the traders and businessmen in the city.
