ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has submitted the final report regarding the fraud scam at the Bank of Punjab (BoP).

The FIA has stated in its report that the actual corruption at the BoP amounts to more than Rs.77 billion. On paper, the BoP showed profits from 2005 to 2008, but was actually running in loss.

Additional Inspector-General, Punjab Police, Aftab Sultan has mentioned in his report that the former president of BoP, Hamesh Khan, with the help of board members had issued loans to bank defaulters.

The CJP has also ordered the Advocate General of Punjab to make the report available to the public.
