KARACHI, May 4: The Sindh government is planning to establish ‘community midwife schools’ in all districts of the province to reduce the growing mortality rate of mothers during expectancy, especially in the rural areas.
In a statement on the International Midwifery Day here on Wednesday, Sindh Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed said the government was trying to achieve targets regarding sustainable health of mother and child under the millennium development goals.—PPI
