I guess Afridi has outlived his utility and should be sent packing. Our spin attack is good without him if you get Kaneria, and as far as his batting is concerned look what he does, becoz he doesnt listen to the coach and others. Adios amigo!

You are better off without a player who took the highest number of wickets in the world cup? You are better off with a captain who lead the mediocre team to the WC semifinal? The same team about whom the so-called experts and ex-greats were commenting prior to WC that they won't even make it to the quarterfinals and, you are better off with that leader? In the previous world cups, with the best available resources Pakistan could not make it to the quarterfinals or, the max they reached was QF. And, you want to axe Afridi because of the two recent ODI losses? They've won the series 3-2 and the 4th ODI was farcical because of the D/L method, now the whole bunch of Afridi haters are against him. As regards Waqar and Aaqib as main coach and bowling coach, what have they done in improving Wahab Riaz's nagging wides and line no-balls? What helped they offered to Umar Gul during the WC? Waqar has become so powerful that he flatly refuses to the PCB request of appointing Javed Miandad as a batting coach for the team. Whereas, Afridi supported that idea hence there is a clash of personalities in the team now. It is very easy to criticize someone if you don't analyze the facts correctly. And, Pakistan should stop playing yo-yo with their captains otherwise the captaincy dilemma would be similar to the Pakistani opening conundrum where they have experimented at least a dozen different combination in the past few years and none worked because of inconsistency and also because of the fear of non-performance they might be axed. For your information Kaneria was only in the test squad and Afridi is not in the test squad, so don't compare apples with oranges. As regards Afridi's batting he is not the only culprit to be blamed for batting, is there anyone in the team besides Hafeez who is scoring consistently? Hafeez himself pays tribute to Afridi for getting the best out of him. The Great Wall of Pakistan, Misbah ul Haq has a knack of staying at the crease and remaining not out which is a negative input for the team and he is not a match winner or a finisher like Hyssey but, he is a loser and yet he is praised and rewarded with test captaincy and he plays in all formats of the game. afridi bhai you don't have to explain. pcb chairman should first explain why he is not quiting his job. chairman is not doing his job right. waqar younis should be sacked as well.

Honestly, just watching Afridi Bat would make you wonder if he deserve being the Captain of his side. Afridi is reckless and runs around the field like a lost kid at times....I would appoint Misbah as the Captain for ODIs and Tests as Afridi is really unreliable and if it wasn't for Waqar the team would've perished much earlier.

I played top level cricket during the 70s and have always said that a cricketer who cannot play in Test matches and only in one day mtches is NOT a cricketer. Look at Ponting, Dhoni, Strauss, Vettori, and others. Why Afridi has to be selective. Play Cricket in all games. It's time you decide whether you want to play cricket or 'gilli danda.' Also, a coach must remain a coach and stay away from selection for which there are Selectors. PCB MUST reform and follow the rules for the sake of Pakistan and the game of cricket.

Afridi, along with Kamran Akmal, and Salman Butt, the real criminal should have been dropped forever after return from Australia. Why is PCB Chairman still there? Afridi is a clueless person living on his reputation from yester-years.

I fully agree with Mr. Javed A. Khan. By the way according to Justice Qayyum's verdict Mr. Waqar Yunus was not to be given any official position with PCB because of his involvement in match fixing and betting, for which,along with a few others, he was found guilty. Therefore he should be sacked and not Afridi.

The point though is that the captain and PCB both are expected to avoid controversies. Differences between and coach are inevitable at times. Its important to keep them away from the media to be dealt within the organisation. We must redeem the image of a team that seems to have had its share of controversies. And everyone needs to handle difficult situation with deft.

Those who support Afridi as a captain or even member of team; kindly comment on the following points: • Has he improved his batting a bit in last ten years? It is an awful long time to improve an immature player. His batting has actually gone bad to worse. If Pakistan want a player like him with unpredictable results then they will get those results. • Secondly those who have make a great fuss about his bowling. Could you see his stats against better team and on the pitches which does not suit spinner. Again Pakistan has to think its bowling selection criteria. Does Pakistan need bowlers like wasim, waqar, and shoaib or medium pacers and half spinners and leg spinners. It need a serious review. We need specialist batsman and bowlers these if and but players will always give these kind of results. • Please get rid of him not as a captain but also as team player and change policy of having if and but players for the sake of cricket and Pakistan.

Law is higher than sentiments and emotions. According to the law Afridi must explain his behaviour ( regardless of his fine performance on the ground). If he is found guilty, he should submit himself for disciplinary action. That will set a very good example for the rest of the team members and he will come out more respected than just prolonging the matter by non-coperation.

Afridi is good captain but I do not know why he made ??this kind of statement in media.

Differences in selection is good, that is why the PCB has a 4 members committee. Selection matter should be resolved in the meetings with proper communication and analysis not in the media. Afridi should get his vision checked, looks to me he is near sighted. I think as an all rounder Shoaib Malik should be given another look in ODI side.

I agree with Khalid Sami'c comments. The selection matters should be addressed with proper communication. Bringing the difference to the public shows an immaturity that should be avoided
