PESHAWAR: A clash between Pakistani tribesmen and Afghan National Army soldiers claimed five lives in Lora Mandi at the Pak-Afghan border, DawnNews reported on Thursday.

Three Pakistani tribesmen and two Afghan soldiers died in the clash.

According to sources, Afghan soldiers opened fire and killed three Pakistanis during scrutiny at a check point while two Afghan soldiers were killed by the Pakistani tribesmen.

However, the sources claim that the Pakistanis killed in the skirmish were militants.

The dead bodies of the Afghan soldiers were flown to Khost.
