Our security is at stake, as the strongest institution of Pakistan the military itself is under attack. Gunmen armed with rockets and explosives stormed PNS Mehran a major Pakistani naval air base, triggering gun battles that killed 13 military personnel. An overnight battle with militants erupted again after dawn on Monday, with blasts ringing out and choppers hovering overhead as security forces launched a counter offensive. The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the brazen attack on the base by 15-20 gunmen, saying it was to avenge the killing of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden on May 2. It is the worst assault on a military base since the army headquarters was besieged in October 2009.

Their have been so many unfortunate incidents, terrorist attacks, humiliations, natural disasters etc but we don't learn lesson. Our so called leaders still use anti Pakistani cards to play dirty politics. On the other hand people choose these leaders based on their personal loyalties. I don't think we are a nation but a fragmented society or group of people living in their own isolated islands. Least bothered to fix ourselves for the greater good of the country.
its sad, but as same time very very embarrassing , how can we trust our Govt and Arm Forces n IB any more ??? when they cant protect their own base ! its shameful that even school students see and criticize security flaws in Karachi , Pls protect our city and our country.
it is extremely saddening for all in the world on what is going on in pakistan.India wants a stable and progressive pakistan more than any other country in the world.rest assured in the next 10 years this realisation will dawn on pakistanis too.We have other things in our mind which are much bigger than pakistan. The disputes are too small for the life and property at stake on these skirmishes.leave this conflict apart and we would see a better quality and respect for human life in pakistan.
its just sad….i totally agree with the above comment we should stand toghether as a nation and people should stop taking bribes….if there is no Pakistan we will not be welcome in any country of the world and there will be no hope for our kids…WE MUST PROTECT the country for ourselves and for our generations to come…..my heart just cries…we must help each other at this moment and stop saying "what can i do as a common man" we AS people if united can be very powerful
We all sould now stand together and help our fellow men. This is a wake up call for all Pakistani's. Our present goverment should take proper steps in line to break up networks of terriorist. Spend money on security personnel and stop all luxury expenses on MPA's and MNA's.
Common man needs to re-scdeule all his expenses, according to their incomes and stop taking bribes.
Great responsibilities comes to media personel to stop giving on-line new which help terrorist to see what is happening or steps taken by security agencies.
