SINGAPORE: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) is seeking 50,000 tonnes of June gasoline, and this is on top of the 210,000 tonnes it sought earlier for July to October arrival, traders said on Friday.
They added that the state-owned firm could be needing the parcel to plug a supply shortfall as Pakistan Refinery Ltd (PRL) shut its 47,100 barrels per day (bpd) plant in May for three weeks.
The state-owned firm is seeking the 87-octane cargo for June 14-16 arrival at Karachi in a tender closing on June 2, with offers to stay valid until June 6.
It had in second-half April bought 285,000 tonnes of gasoline for May to September arrival, and has an outstanding tender to buy July to October cargoes in a tender due to be awarded on June 25.
