KARACHI, June 2: Six vessels carrying containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Glen Canyon Bridge, Jakarta Express with containers, SM Interpid and Paimpol, with general cargo and S.M. Quetta, with crude oil were berthed on Thursday after the departure of seven.
The ships, which departed included Lodestar Genesis, Masar Trade, Christina, Paimol, Samin-1, Hyundai Discovery and APL Spinel, while S.T.I, Coral, Glen Canyon Bridge, Jakarta Express, Kota Halus, Quetta and S.M. Interpid are due to sail out on Friday.
A total tonnage of 129,000 tons comprising 22,892 tons of export cargo and 102,000 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.
The following ships are due on Friday: Cardonia, Sima Singapore, Hanjin Rome, MSC Anafi and APL Guang Zhou, all with containers.
