LAHORE, June 8: Six members of a family fainted after they took some poisonous food at their home near Bank Stop in Chungi Amar Sadhu on Wednesday.

Rescue 1122 shifted Naseem Akhtar, 60, her three sons Mubarik, 34, Waris, 36, Tariq, 20, Waris’ wife Farzana, 35, and his six-year-old daughter Aqsa to Lahore General Hospital.

Rescuers said the family took breakfast brought from a food outlet in the morning.

FIRE: A fire broke out at Daewoo Cargo Office near Kalma Chowk on Wednesday, burning down valuables worth Rs200,000. Rescue 1122 said fire erupted in a portion of the plaza due to short circuit. — Staff Reporter
