KOHAT, June 17: The Al Hussaini Foundation and Al Zohra Trust on Friday arranged mass marriage of 52 couples and gave them Rs5.2 million worth of dowry at a function held in Ustarzai here.

A large number of people from Orakzai Agency and Hangu district were served with food on the occasion.

The former district khateeb of Hangu, Allama Jawad Ahmed Jawadi, was the chief guest who solemnised the nikah. He appealed to the philanthropists to come forward and participate in the welfare of the poor people and donate generously. He said the function was being held regularly for the past three years. He urged people to stop killing each other on petty sectarian and ethnic issues. — Correspondent
