TERRORISM seems to be the biggest problem of the 21st century. Its roots are in the Afghan Jihad when the Pakistani government supported one superpower against the other in Afghanistan.

Pakistanis have been faced with suicidal attacks in different parts of the country almost every day. Thousands of innocent people have been killed so far, for what? Terrorists cannot take control of Pakistan but they are affecting the psyche of the common people. Moreover, uncertainty is prevailing in the country due to these terrorist incidents, affecting not only our daily lives but business and trade activities as well.

It is important to consider carefully the scope of an investigation into interrogation abuses. Given limited prosecutorial resources, it is understandable that the Justice Department would seek to focus on alleged perpetrators who bear the greatest legal responsibility for abuses, and whose legal liability is clearest.

A typical form of terrorism here is bomb blasts by terrorists at important public places. We should try to make friendly relations with all the big powers. Above all, Pakistan’s image is being damaged heavily. So it should be our top priority to get rid of terrorism.
