PARACHINAR, June 24: Warplanes bombed suspected positions in central tehsil of Kurram Agency on Friday and killed nine militants, an official said.

Three planes carried out strikes in Murghan and Wam areas of the tribal region and several hideouts were targeted. The official said that nine militants were killed and hideouts were also destroyed. Deployment of troops is also underway in the areas bordering Afghanistan, he added.
