KARACHI, June 27: Burma Mohammadan and Salaar Welfare Centre started off on winning notes as the All-Karachi Engro Vopak Cup Football Tournament kicked off at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium here on Sunday.

Burma Mohammadan Korangi defeated Usmanabad Union 1-0 with the decisive goal being scored by Saifullah in the ninth minute.

In the other match, Salaar Welfare Centre Malir outclassed Baloch Fighter Lyari 7-0 thanks to a brilliant hat-trick by Sheraz Qadir (10th, 19th and 47th mins).

The other goals were scored by Shakir Ali (sixth min), Mohammad Asif (24th and 43rd mins) and Sharif Jan (30th min).
