KARACHI, July 5: Iqbal excelled with a knock of 70 to help Bashir & Sons CC easily defeat Al-Mannan CC by 68 runs in the Dr Mohammad Zaki Khan Memorial Twenty20 cricket tournament at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground here the other day.

Batting, Bashir & Sons CC made 198-7 before restricting their opponents to 130-7.

In another match played earlier, Shoaib Leghari produced a splendid all-round performance as Mallakatiar CC outclassed Macter CC by eight wickets.

Shoaib snared five wickets for 19 runs in four overs as Macter CC mustered 136-8. He then scored 47 while sharing an unbroken third-wicket partnership of 117 with Taj Mohammad who contributed 72.
