LAHORE: Pakistan's football coach, Kiran Ilyas Gouri, has become the first female from Pakistan who will be attending the AFC 'B' Coaching Certificate course in Kuala Lumpur.
“Her participation in such a high profile activity will open a new era in women football and help establish women football on sound lines,” said the President of the Pakistan Football federation, Faisal Saleh Hayat on Monday.
“Four key elements, coaching, competitions, talent hunt and selection on merit are very essential in the overall development of football,” he said adding that modern coaches always take these aspects of the game into consideration to help develop football on solid lines.
The AFC 'B' Coaching Certificate is for coaches who already have the 'C' Certificate. The course is designed to educate coaches in the advanced techniques and skills of the game, and to help them develop a better understanding of individual or groups of players, tactics and the mental requirements of the game.
