KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah Monday presided a meeting regarding law and order at CM House. The meeting reviewed in detail the situation prevailing in Karachi.

The meeting was attended by Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasan, I.G Police Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani and others.

Chief Minister Sindh directed the I.G Police Sindh, Acting Director General Rangers Sindh to make prompt measures for maintenance of peace in province of Sindh particularly in Karachi, while strict action be taken against culprits, terrorists, anti-people elements and enemies of humanity without consideration of affiliation with any party or any group.

Chief Minister Sindh further said that individuals involved in incidents of firing in various areas of Karachi should be crushed with an iron hand and culprits be apprehended without any delay, so as to ensure peace for lives and property of the people of Karachi.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah expressed his sorrow over recent wave of violence since last few days in Karachi and condoled with bereaved families on the deaths of their loved ones.

Chief Minister Sindh ordered increasing the number of Police and Rangers in the affected areas, the persons involved in firing incidents be arrested and patrolling of Rangers and Police be enhanced.

He hoped that peaceful atmosphere will be restored fully in all areas of the Karachi, as Karachi is an economic hub of the country and millions of unemployed and poor people from various parts of the country come here to earn their livelihood.

Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasan and I.G Police Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani briefed the CM Sindh regarding law & order situation of the province.

They informed that the provincial government has placed a ban on pillion riding in Karachi so that the crime being committed by criminals on motorcycles/bikes be eliminated and controlled.

They informed that the Jawans of police and rangers are working round the clock to control the law and order.

They further informed the Chief Minister Sindh that a new strategy has been evolved to ensure law and order as early as possible in affected areas of Landhi, Khokhrapar, Malir, Surjani town and other places including Banaras.
