
KARACHI: Leader of Sunni Tehreek, Sarwat Ejaz Qadri along with a delegation of his party visited the head quarters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), at Azizabad and met with the members MQM Rabita Committee on Friday.
The ST leader met with Rabita Committee Members, Dr. Sagheer Ahmed, Mustafa Kamal, Wasey Jaleel, Kanwer Khalid Younis and Incharge MQM Karachi Tanzeemi Committee, Hammad Siddiqi and sought their cooperation to maintain peace in the city, said a statement issued by MQM.
Other members of the ST delegation were, Shakeel Qadri, Khatar- ul-Islam, Matloob Awan, Faheemuddin Sheikh and Shahzad Qadri.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarwat Qadri said Karachi is economic hub of the country and we would have to eliminate terrorism from the city through joint efforts.
Later, they offered fateha for the victims of violent incidents in the city and also prayed for peace in Karachi.
They also agreed to continue meeting and extend cooperation for the cause of peace in the city.
Earlier, members MQM Rabita Committee, members and office- bearers of various wings of the MQM accorded a warm welcome to ST delegation on its arrival at MQM's headquarters.
