LAHORE: The PML-Q has submitted a motion in the Punjab Assembly Secretariat to make south Punjab a separate province. The resolution was brought forward by PML-Q leader Chaudhary Zaheeruddin.
PML-Q MPA Seemal Kamran said that a resolution like this has been put forward before, but nobody has allowed it to reach the Presidency.
The PML-Q MPA said that Chaudhary Zaheeruddin's resolution includes a call for basic administrative rights to make south Punjab a separate province so that there can be an improvement in economic conditions.
