QUETTA, Aug 12: An army man was killed and three others were injured when five rockets fired from nearby mountains landed in the Quetta Cantonment on Friday evening.

Police sources said one rocket had landed in the Nawan Killi area of the city.

Two soldiers were injured when one rocket exploded in the Musa Stadium.

The injured were taken to the Quetta CMH, where Mohammad Shahid died.

Two army men were injured when another rocket exploded near the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) Corps Centre.

One rocket exploded near the Corps headquarters and two others in the Chiltan road area.

Mirak Baloch, a spokesman for the Baloch Liberation Army, claimed that BLA had carried out the attack.—Saleem Shahid
