MIRAMSHAH, Aug 16: A US drone fired two missiles at a compound before dawn here on Tuesday, killing four suspected militants and injuring two others. According to sources, the house owned by a tribesman, Khalid, was targeted in the main Miramshah Bazaar in North Waziristan at about 3.30am when people were busy in preparing food for Sehri. The compound was located near a school.

Four people were killed on the spot. The injured were taken to an unspecified hospital. The dead and the injured could not be identified.

Agencies add: A vehicle parked outside the compound was destroyed.

Militants immediately cordoned off the compound and removed debris.

Initial reports suggested that two foreigners were among the dead, but their nationalities were not known, officials said.
