ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Monday said that the issue of Karachi was political and may be resolved by politicians.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that the Army, the Rangers or police or other security forces were unable to tackle it.

He said that the issue of Karachi was a political issue, so it should be resolved in consultation with the chiefs of other political parties, and they should continue the meeting until the solution of this crisis is found.

He said that he was in touch with the PPP leadership for seat-to-seat adjustment.

Answering a question, he said new provinces should be formed on the basis of administrative considerations rather than lingual grounds.

This strategy may prove effective for the consolidation of the motherland, he added.
