HELMAND: Unknown gunmen on Saturday killed an auxiliary police commander in Lashkar Gah city, the capital of southern Helmand province, the governor of the district where the police commander served told Reuters.

Abdul Ali, a former Mujahideen commander, was a powerful auxiliary police commander in Helmand’s Marjah district, said Marjah district governor Abdul Mutalib.
