Ten killed in accident near Umerkot

MIRPURKHAS: Ten bus passengers, including four women, lost their lives as the tie rod of their vehicle broke down at Kehnsar village, near Umerkot, Tuesday morning, Edhi ambulance service officials said.

The bus, carrying 25 passengers, was travelling from Chachar to Umerkot.

The accident caused injuries of varied degrees to the other passengers who were carried to a nearby health centre by the villagers.

According to eye witness accounts, the driver lost control of the speeding bus on a road which had become slippery due to intermittent rainfall in the area.
