LAHORE, Sept 19: A 25-year-old man, who was recovered in a sack from a drain with his throat slit open near Lytton Road a couple of days ago, is under treatment at Services Hospital in protective police custody. Civil Lines SP investigation Liaquat Ali Malik told Dawn that the victim who first identified himself as Joseph Masih of Karachi changed his name to Samuel in his second written statement.

He said the victim stated that he travelled by train from Karachi and he did not know what happened to him at Kot Lakhpat railway station.

The SP said the police were investigating the incident and awaiting recovery of the victim for further probe.
