“Shoaib Malik doesn't deserve to be captain and was made captain because he was a stooge of the PCB Chief Naseem Ashraf,” Akhtar claimed. -File photo
Pakistan’s most controversial cricketer Shoaib Akhtar invited a little more drama on the eve of his book launch, tearing into Indian greats Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid while also taking shots at former national captain Wasim Akram and even the country’s former president Pervez Musharraf.
In the book titled “Controversially Yours” Akhtar says, “I think players like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid weren’t exactly match winners to start with, nor did they know the art of finishing the game.”
He then zeroes in on Tendulkar saying, “I bowled (Sachin) a particularly fast ball which he, to my amazement didn’t even touch. He walked away! That was the first time I saw him walk away from me-that, too, on the slow track at Faisalabad.”
Excerpts of the book released to the media have managed to create much hype but it is surprising that the bits about Tendulkar and Dravid were made public considering the fact that the autobiography will be first published in India.
But Akhtar is not one to shy away from such a situation and said in an interview to Times of India, “What I’ve written is my experience, put as honestly for others to know. This is the truth – for the world, it may be a big controversy.”
Akhtar, who called time on his career following the 2011 World Cup, has also shockingly admitted that he tampered with the ball claiming, “everyone tampers with the ball. I did so too. Tampering should be legalised.”
He has also dug deep into the working of the Pakistan cricket- the administration, his early career, former and current players and the class discrimination in the setup.
Taking a dig at Shoaib Malik, Akhtar has stated in his book that the Pakistani all-rounder was PCB’s stooge.
“Shoaib Malik doesn’t deserve to be captain and was made captain because he was a stooge of the PCB Chief Naseem Ashraf,” states Akhtar.
Another shocking revelation is one where he claims Wasim Akram attempted to finish his career.
“Wasim Akram threatened to walk out with half the team if I was included in the team. General Tauqir Zia backed Shoaib against Wasim,” Akhtar says of fissures previously unheard of.
Javed Miandad, Pervez Musharraf, Shah Rukh Khan and Lalit Modi have also come into the crosshairs in the autobiography.
The book is tentatively scheduled to be out today in India.

u are so great shoaib bhai.salman khan ka friend hony ki waja sy ab ap ko kisi movi men hona chahye tha.like ali zafar
a mis u shoaib akhtar.
Wow Shoaib bhai u r gr8 u r right,
i think u r roll model u should join bollywood u can prove that u r real HERO……
AA THE BEST…
Dennis Rodman of Cricket! He needed a coach like Phil Jackson and players like Jordan and Pippen around him to better use his attitude or lack of it.
very nice shoib bahi , u r totaly ri8
Like Wasim said, Shoaib is doing all this for cheap publicity. I think there is more to it than just cheap publicity. He wants to make easy and cheap money too.
why is he publishing his book in india???is he banned in pakistan.
and he should raise himself upto that level before saying something about sachin and dravid.
Yes Shoaib u are absolutely right about Tendulkar and Dravid.. Everyone has visualized in the past that Tendulkar was afraid to play u and preferred staying at non strikers end… May be he will be great batsman in India but not as great as to be claimed as a MATCH WINNER……
Sachin's 98 runs inning in World cup 2003 ended pakistan's world cup dream. Sachin hit shoib for 17 runs fo his first over. He didn't come to bowl the next over.
Actually yes Shoaib akhtar is Wrong bcoz he only wrote in his book about sachin he forgot to tell that any batsman who played him he scared of him.
He was the greatest bowler but he didn't know the trick to PCB's puppet. The bottom line is he is one of the very few honest players in Pak cricket like Imran Khan & Shahid Afridi.
Let us read the book, separate facts from opinion to which he is entitled. Make judgment. Being in the thick and thin of Cricket he has earned the right to listen to.
HE IS DOING A GREAT JOB AND WHAT EVER HE HAS SAID FOR ANY ONE IS 100% WRIGHT ………….
Right is Right not wright
Shoaib Akhter is 100% right
those people who dislike shoaib comments . Go into record book when akhtar againt india not only tandulkar or dravid but also all indian team afrid by shoaib akhtar
what are you trying to say?
Akhtar's, I believe is not a story of an average player. The kid from from Rawalpindi was talented and had spark, we have to agree, and the record breaking bowling speed could have won the country some extra medals, had he been dealt with appropriately. I'm not fond of cricket, but I always thought that there have been a lot of hidden details as to why the player did not rise to those peculiar heights. I congratulate him on his launch and hope that the unsaid and hidden about the Pakistani cricket politics comes out in the open.
How about we just read the book and gossip later…!!!
I agree to Shoaib for Sachin as he is not a such a huge player as he has been portrayed. Dravid is a much better player than him. This is true that Sachin is not a match winning batsman. But Dravid has a class.
For those Indians who are not happy about his comments regarding Sachin and Dravid, please do not be upset. It is his opinion and he has not even spared his own team mates like Shoaib Malik, Waseem Akram and bastman like Jawed. So, just chill my Indian fellows!
Shoaib Akhtar is free to expree his feelings, who is any one to tell him to like a person or not. I don't like tendulkar, u cannpt make me like him. And loved shoaib's comment, "Tendulkar is your Bhagwan, not mine"
Sachin was never performed well against any gud pace attack, whether its South Africa, West Indies,NZ, or Pakistan in 90's, especially overseas. But I strongly disagree with Shoiab on Dravid's part. Dravid,The Wall, always performed extremely well against all gud attacks anywhere.
No body is perfect, even Sachin and Dravid. Shoaib Akhtar is free to express his personal views.
But some of his bold expression of views on PCB and Match fixing, though true, are going to put him in trouble.
Finally, I can say that, Shoaib Akhtar is very brave and even did hesitate to bowl bouncers at PCB.
Instead of witch hunting Shoaib Akhtar, PCB must introspect and try to improve Cricket in Pakistan.
cricket is not game of one man………..it is played by team….so how can single person resposible……shame Akthar
Guys – don't argue so much, poor guy is out of job now and is only trying to make some money from his book. simplest way is to create controversy so that people buy his book, just let him do that…
Expressing your emotions….especially emotions of high profile people like our beloved S.Aktar always has got good market anywhere in the world…Hope he finds peace after this book's release…..
I wonder why people are so furious about his comments. These are his personal point of views. He can be right or wrong like anybody else.
So nobody has to be so upset about his comments.
lol… i luv controversies,..
Iam an Indian and iam an BIG fan of his bowling only he and brett lee are bowlers in world i see passionate for sheer pace bowling but brett is not better than s.akhtar in pace.
But i humbly dont agree on his comments against sachin let me give u facts
In a world cup his father was died and everybody said him to stay in india but he came back and hit a big century!!!this is what we call "CALL OF DUTY" he is an nationalist and we dont need any foreigner to verify this.
Good luck on book and hopefully see you somewhere bowling fast and furious.
Shoaib has a style of saying things, and he has done this to his own people even the chairman of pcb so you have to understand that in 2003 final sachin failed in 1999 super six he failed in 2007 he failed in 2011 final he failed in recently concluded test series against eng he failed again, lara and ponting are better then sachin. Only indians are defying sachin but all over the net aussies lankans south africans and australians are in accord with sachin about the match winning abilities of sachin. They compare sachin with brad man, well when brad man was in oz tean their winning ratio was more than 60 percent but in sachins era indian teams winning to losing ratio was 30 percent. That does it all. But still indian media will consistently compare him with bradman. Lastly if dravic and sachin were so great matchwinners then why has india till now won ny test series in aus and south africa
Regards
Being a fan of Pakistan Cricket team I just don't like this dark spot on Pak Cricket. He has been involved in all sorts of controversy to remain in limelight or to be in count . He loves his face in media a lot. Since after his ouster from Pak team his image was fading so this is a new way of coming back to his first love (media). I wish him all the best if he can tarnish the image of some of the best cricketing ambassador in the world(Wasim Akram, Sachin, Rahul(The wall of test in front of whom he always failed)). All the best dude keep trying.
Did he mention his night partying lifestyle on tours in his book; especially in Australian tours even people asked him that he has a game to play the next day and Mr.Akhtar least bothered about it. If he hasnt then he is a hypocrite. Wish imran khan was teh captain or a senior position holder in PCB so that he could discipline him in his cricketing career at least.
u r a world num one bowler nd also fast.ur bowling speed nd line lenght i like this bcaz i,m also a bowler but i like ur previos performance not present end now ur type of bowler never never born in future…….
well Shoaib is a man of controversies. I like his blunt way of talking about anyting that could even possibly harm his his own career. Little bit of patience and consistency on his part could have made him one of the greats of his time. He was express fast, high;y capable, yet he couldnt even cross the 200 wickets mark in test cricket. The book, I am am bound to believe, will be throwing light on unheard issues and will trigger more controversies as the big guy cant be kept away from the spotlight for long. Goodluck Rawalpindi Express.
factually he faced much more problems in his career than any other cricketer coz he was the fastest…..ICC stakeholders dont want him to play……though he managed to carry his career for ten years……he was definitely a match winner….. you can see his performances against S.A, Australia, n.zealand, india…….players like ponting, gilchrist, kallis, fleming and even lara were not comfortable aganst him…….u shud admit atlst he was a match winner……look at his ODI wkt avg and wickets in comparison with matches played….compare it with other bowlers and infact the right wkt at the very right time is the major concern……..and he most of the time did that…..
He was not even a good bowler.
totally a biased comment
I think his comments on Sachin & Dravid are true indeed despite being Indian fan. They never try being there till finishing the game.Sachin was struck on the body during his debut match by Waqar Younis while he was trying to take his eye away from Younis delivery. It's not false that he had been struggling in England too.
Every one is entitled to his/her view in democracy where there is freedom of speech and we should appreciate it.
agreed
Lets see..this is someone who admits to ball tempering, has used nandrolone and was banned for it, was accused of chucking, holds no significant records, is clearly a backstabber, known for faking injuries and let his country down when he was needed to play. You cant take this guy seriously. Pakistan won 85 matches out of 163 matches he played, 22 of which include Zim and other non test playing nations..a match winner? may be not.
I think shoaib akhtar is right.he is truly legend and he is saying for tendulkar absolutely right he plays for money
sachin won more man of the match awards than anyone else in the world how one can say tat sachin is not a match winner …………..of coures now he has toung injury…….
I think Shoaib is right about Sachin. He is only record holder not a match winner. Performance of a player can only be judged if he has played extraordinary innings in all parts of world. I cannot see Sachin in that bracket. About Wasim every body knows that what type of character he is.
you have a little knowledge of cricket my friend. 2003 & 2007 world cup matches against pakistan sachin made runs and India won both of those matches
I dont think a player like Sachin needed to worry about an attack from a bowler like Shoaib, at least not ON field. Sachin is a way better cricketer, when he can hit Wasim and Waqar, why would he worry about Shoaib anyways?
Fastest ever bowler in the world but unfortunately wrong person at the wrong place. I remmember the time when Few decades back european bowlers use to be the fastest bowlers in the world. One could find posters of those bowlers in every Pakistani student room and those bowlers were insanely praised. We never gave respect to shoaib he deserve.
Shoaib is very much right…..Sachin is no doubt a great player but he is not having confidence and courage to play a good inning when it is needed in crucial time i.e. not a match winner.
I agreed strongly with the fact that if a player like SHOAIB was born in india im sure he is a bigger hero than sachin or any other country he was treated differently and his career was having different look….PCB and the jealous cricketer ruined the career of great player
I applaud Shoaib for speaking out his mind through the release of his new book. I agree with his assessment that Sachin and Rahul were not match winners. However, I also feel that many of his complaints on players like Waqar, Wasim cannot be taken at face value without knowing the other side of the story.
Shoaib Akhtar was a good bowler. Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, Fazal Mehmood and Sarfaraz Nawaz were much better. Another big difference was that these strike bowlers of Pakistan had a positive affect on the team. Shoaib did not. In fact, he had a negative effect on the team. He was all about himself; the "I" factor. Talent should not be the only criterion for being selected in the National team. Shoaib represented Pakistan more than he deserved.
He was the best bowler, but unfortunately could not raise to many's expectations. he was never a winner like Waqar or Imran khan, but he did play well, In the last world cup he also missed the final match, its O.K, everyone has a attitude problem, and one should try to overcome it. He should have been more social with his team mates, and a little politics would have helped him. When he joined the team the team was already in fixing scandals and disarray, it alright man.
the carrier of sachan and dravid shows the truth. but Mr.Shoab should remembered that Wasim is the legend of the cricket history. And it was the Wasim who taught the Shoaib how to play. Small mouths discuss big matter to get the attension . Simply cheap publicity. One thing should also be noted the it was Shoaib who tought M Asif . And see the result. I dont need to say any more.
he's brave for launching his book in india while taking shots on indian top stars. well, he's my favorite for bowling and entertaining through his career.
i don't take his comments seriously. yeah they're controversial but there should be some truth, media always portray things like this wrongly. i will reject or accept his views if i read book by myself. don't have much faith on media.
Dear Sa,
The book releasing in India just shows how open we are to criticisms. Can you imagine a contrevesial book by an Indian player releasing in Pakistan crticisng Pak players?? No way..the book will be banned even before it could be released. And Akthar is a smart cookie. He knows that if his book needs to be popular, he has to release it in India and not in Pakistan!!!
I read something about the launch of book cancelled (or banned) in Mumbai, "The home town of Mr. Sachin". Am i right or am i right
Whats wrong if he said Sachin didnt play him one particular time and prefer to leave the ball. End of day a master batsmen decided to leave a good bowl from a excellent bowler. Whats so controversial in that?
good
nice comments……
good pick-up of Shoiab's thoughts
I find his revealations fascinating. In a World, so occupied by Hero-worshipping, and an attitude of “do not go against the norms” this Book has come out as a fresh air.
Shoaib may be a temperamental and mercurial character, but he was a brilliant though arrogant bowler. Most in the cricketing world choose not to speak against the senior players or the establishment, else they can lose their place in team or luresome contracts paying fat cheques.
Let more Shoaibs come out in the open….
step taken by shoib is good because he sho his ability that he can do everything
Shohib was always injured in matches more then he played. He worked more for publicity in india then playing for his country and always fighting with his team mates. He was always a talent waiting to prove himself but it never happpened, now he is doing what he always does the best -PUBLICITY.
Shoib akhter is the best bowler ever. Ilike his yorker and bouncer. He was threat to ever great batsmen like sachin, ponting, lara. We mis u shaob.
Wel done Shoaib i like ur bravnes,
Guys u dnt knw that what he has done ,we know clearly that,no one hav courage to speak truth ,bt Shoaib is dat brav ,who wrote evry thing which is corect nd rite,
I love u ,We Pakistan love u shoaib ,u r our hero .
He is right about sachin and dravid. Look at the matches Sachin scored a century and India mostly lost that match. Compare that with Inzi whenever inzi scored a century in test pak won 90% of the matches thats a match winner. Sachin was a great but never a match winner. Sehwag is a match winner, you guys dont get what akhtar is saying. He did not say sachin isnt a great he said he is not a match winner which is 100% true!
Shoaib was honest, match winning, most disciplined, polite, good behaving, and whatever good attributes to put. Its just media, Indian players (Sachin et al), and entire world, which is wrong. May he get peace and justice somewhere.
sachin is not a match winner….agreed…..but sachin is not a match fixer….
Naveed got it right.Book wont sell without controversial material. Since yesterday which ever news channel I turn on, I get to see this "breaking news" of Shoib's book. It is already a hit.
This is perhanbs the best bouncer Shoaib Akhtar has ever bowled
Oh really publicity, why don't you all open you minds and accept the truth, sachin sachin sachin so overated he is a great player but when facing shoaib his pants are a little wet and it goes the commentator says the king gets shot two times on the head at the dead wicket of faislabad but yes dravid was not afraid
Really!!!. Remember 2003 WC match. This brave bowler of yours was reluctant to bowl after couple of overs
When will Pakistani cricketers like Shoaib learn from great player and perhaps one of the finest fast bowler like Wasim Akram it is their skills which makes them great not hollow talking. Why Wasim is respected in cricketing world because he always showed great respect for game and to me one of greatest cricketers due to his bowling (and later batting) skills and never with his trash talk.
Being a indian. i am great fan of shoib akhter.. i love him very much… after these allegation , it made me very upset… as you all pakistani know your corrupt team and is being led by corrpt captain like AFRIDI…
Well the whole nation is in turmoil situation. One side the extremism in Karachi, flood problems in sindh and at the same times the allegations from the US regarding to ties with some fanatics. We already have to cope with many endeavors and is only possible when the whole nation is under the banner and such finding of scapegoats by our citizens and national hero under such prevailing conditions are not at all acceptable.
Pindi Express (ShoaibAkhtar) was not only the hero of Pakistan but also a valuable asset for Pakistan Cricket Team but unfortunately we have lost bcoz. of PCB Internal Politics and so-called friction created by some vested interests. He should have given chances to play for Pakistan. Likewise we have lost Shahid Afridi. Discipline can be maintained by keeping them in team and using 110 ways but keeping them out of team is not advisable and it is the voice of the Pakistani Nation.
Plz don't comment against him he is very amazing true character in this world and brave . He was not critisizing any one in his book . He just share moments which happened with him in his life . Plz do understand him .
Well Shoaib Akhtar Was A diamond for the pakistani team. But Our team did not treated him as he deserved to be. Bowler like Shoaib are born after a centuries.
Its the Bowlers who win matches, Batsmen are good at drawing the match.
Looks interesting. When it is going to be released in Pakistan.
Regarding Sachin its true he just plays for himself not for country. No qualities of a match winner. Dravid is quite better than Sachin.
i wonder, why people waste their life in finger pointing, have we ever considered tht our country is in much need of us to stay united and think about what its about to happen… wake up guys
As the old adage goes… any publicity is good publicity!
Well, first of all sachin and dravid are batting greats particularly sachin but that does not turn down akhtar's allegations.Every batsman is afraid of somebody and he will never make it public.Check the stats of sachin facing shoaib,Shoaib wins single-handedly.
Good point, Sachin never looked comfortable against Shoaib as far as I can remember. That was some serious pace Shoaib was capable of.
Why Sachin or Dravid should bother to turndown his allegations? It is below their dignity. Shoaib is an irresponsible hawk who has all the time in the world to hurl allegations and get publicity for his book. Leave apart Shoaib, even Wasim Akram,Imran Khan, Waqar YOunis, MaCgrath, Brett Lee or Courtney Walsh never made such claims where does Shoaib Stands ? Shoaib had been controversial throughout his career. Tell me one single time when Shoaib got a standing ovation outside Pakistan.
@ Omair…He played 10 tests against India in his career and managed only 28 wickets at 35 runs a piece….
As far as Tendulkar is concerned, guess how many times he managed to get him out in this entire career?
THREE TIMES…
He has won single-handedly indeed…:))
As for the one dayers, Shoaib played 28 one day matches against India and only managed 41 wickets @ 27 runs a piece ( His avg is higher only against AUS…)
As for Sachin, he scored approx. 863 runs in these matches at an Avg of almost 46!
And guess how many time Shoaib managed to get him out?
Only THREE TIMES!!….
That should settle the debate once and for all I think….:))
Aniket….the runs Sachin made according to u in those 28 matches makes the average to be around 31
…….
Sure if he remains notout in 10 matches out of 28 then it goes to around 46…..but i dont think that cud be the case here..:D
Faizan is right and i was talking only about sachin vs shoaib not team vs team(including shoaib and sachin). In 28 matches sachin has only hit 22 boundaries and 2 sixes lets make it 24 when facing shoaib if a batsmen can hit 4 on 4 balls on other pacers in one match, can't he even hit 28 in 28 matches against a particular bowler, sounds logical for shoaib to question sachin's ability against him. and yes this is sachin vs shoaib purely.
Shoaib akhtar had a huge fan following in india but after his comments about sachin, dravid and wasim akram in his book even the people of india will be disgusted with him.
Yes I agree that Shoaib is a blunt man, but the truth has to be mentioned without greasing the facts. It is a bitter pill, so learn to swallow and stop complaining. So you say that for speaking the truth, the whole indian nation will be against him, how long can such a nation survive acting like an ostrich?
waw once again the drama start oh my dear pakistan
who is left in his book who is not criticized?:)Thumps up.I pray he came back from India safe and sound
Shoaib Akhtar is one of the greatest and misunderstood. I am dissapointed how we in Pakistan treated one of the fastest and most dynamic and entertaining cricketer of all times. We should have let him play against India in Semi-finals. I wish Shoaib's book is a huge International success and he gets new heights of fame through this book. One suggestion for my Pakistani countrymen and women – give respect to your own heroes. It is shameful that our heroes get more respect and exposure in India. We are the ones who bring corrupt people in leadership positions than we are the ones who complain about them. Start thinking people. Wake up.
His book is the proof of his wisdom and sagacity. All others are bad except himself.
Well, who wrote the book?
He got one thing right:, more mud you throw on respectable people some will stick. The Indian players are world renowned greats , what is he talking about. Contemptible.
Shafiq
In total agreement.
Take it easy guys , he has always been like this all his career and you can't take it away from him that he is a living legend, this is hos style ,his personality. He just can't help it ,he's been so blunt all his career doctor sahiba , the only reason he's been out of the team for long intervals. He was brought back when ever a new captain came in command … take it easy everyone and he has published his book in India because India is a huge market and money matters
The book will come to Pakistan as well don't worry
Shoaib is absolutely right about Sachin and Dravid. they are most over-rated.
No matter what anyone (great of small) says about Tendulkar, he will remain the greatest name in cricket. No one can belittle Tendulkar, even Don Bradman if he were alive today.
Honestly I love some Pakistani cricketers, like Wasim Akram and Shahid Afridi, these people are gentlemen or at least Wasim Bhai. Shoaib's record is not at all great and he claims that Sachin is afraid of him? Also like a real arrogant person he is, he basically spat on the Pakistani people by launching the book in India.
"General Tauqir Zia backed Shoaib against Wasim"
………
our generals do all sort of works except security.
just go and watch his interview on ndtv and u will not comment about him like this firt read the book and then say any thing
Great batsmen don't play every ball Mr Akhtar! They play balls on merit. So what if Sachin backed away?! It is because of your ever petulant character that you never fulfilled your true potential. And even now, after retiring, all you are interested in is making a nuisance of yourself! Shame.
My dear Shoaib; you were never a match winner. Tandulkar's record speaks volumes about his abilities
Shoib akher is much match winer than sachin whenever h needs he came and bowle best otherhand sachin is only century maker when h made centur india lost the match.. Bus shoib thorugh his yaarker and speed wast thereart every batsmen who had bowling hundred per mile, itz shoib. Ah!
I think Sohaib wants to be in limelight so he thought if mention Sachin, more pople will attract the news. Sachin is Sachin, an Icon, an inspiration for young cricketer, a havoc for baller, and Sohaib should learn from him.
It is a well known fact that Sachin always played for his own self & not for the team or the country.
is it a biography or a complaint book of shoaib, such a shame on the name of pakistan…….
Shoaib Akhtar was wrongly named as Rawalpindi Express.Should have been called as Rawalpindi Goods Train who more often than not broke down hardly ever completing spell of his overs.
Whether Sachin is a good Cricketer or not we can always argue..but one thing is very sure that he is a much much better human being than you are Mr. Akhtar.
Small men hope to / attempt to get attention by decrying better men, while men who walk tall go about their business with purpose and integrity. Obviously, Shoaib has a purpose – make money, but no integrity.
To be the devil's advocate here, it is an 'auto biography' so it is an account of things as he sees it (or saw). We all know how the sports culture here is polluted by politics, so some of the incidents mentioned were reported in the media or hinted upon in teh past we well. That the players are under a contract in terms of giving out statements etc plays a huge role as to why these 'facts' are disclosed later on…
If you don't agree with what is in the book, just chuck it; doesn't mean that the contents have to be agreeable to all parties involved.
Wait!…the most ground breaking aspect of this story has been ignored. Shoaib Akhtar can write?!
Ha..ha..ha…agreed..!!!
He's going to sell more books with controversy than he would being all touchy-feely
You could not expect better than this from Mr Akhtar.
May sense prevail in his life.
Sachin is not a match winner??!! Sachin does not have to prove anyone anything.
The article only talks about the negative points and excerpts from the book. I would be nice to see any positive and inspiring revelations, have not read the book but I assume there will be respect and praise for other cricketers and admminitrators, whom he regards as his role models.
He must have his heroes and inspirational figures to raise him at such a level in Cricket, there is in doubt he was one of the most sensational fast bowler of this cricket era.
The only thing that I'm really shocked to find in this story is that Shoaib Akhtar can WRITE.
akthar may be true
sachin is not match winner or has not ability to finish up a game… one day match needs consistant players who score atleast 40-50 run in minimum average
If it's not controversial it won't sell… i guess that's the whole point.
Well…. the personality speaks for the mind one has… and it is proven once again. Shoaib did what he was known for.. making headlines with controversial acts.. this time in for of book..I wonder what is next.
Shoaib may be controversial, and Sachin is THE greatest cricketer ever. But Shoaib IS correct about Sachin and Dravid not being match winners. Ever. They might have saved a few here and there and maybe helped in a victory…… But Sachin has never been a VVS. Never.
And Shaib may have tampered with the ball in a team full of tamperers, etc etc…. But when in form he is fantastic. And honest.
….most of written material would be right but no one wants to admit his mistakes neither want to see someone claiming to be better than oneself.
I really don't understand what is the need to made such comments on one of his colleague, the Board Administration & Sachin.
Such a Shame shoaib.. You never had & never will be Icon of Cricket.
As far as Sachin had concern, he don't' requires any approval for his quality & integrity. His records says it all.
Good Luck.
Welcome to the club of those national cricketers who only tell the 'truth' and speak after retirement.
Secondly, may I ask Mr. Akhtar also known as the 'Rawalpindi Express' and a former national hero of Pakistan as to why did he publish or launched his book from across the border? Couldn't he find a single publisher or printer in the whole of the Pakistan, whose colors he wore for so long?
@Dr. Salaria, Aamir Ahmad – You said it right !
It has become fashionable for retired cricketers to say things about sachin to get their books sold in india.First it was gilchrist and shoaib definetely wont be the last.disgusting…
……..and so it begins.
Well I belive what ever he said might be right by his opinion…but one should think before saying something who are the audience….
