KARACHI: Defense Minister, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said the comments of former chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Michael Mullen with regard to involvement of Pakistan in attack on US Embassy in Kabul are against the reality.

Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar was talking to media during a visit to the headquarters of the Airport Security Force (ASF), here on Friday.

He said the allegations of US about links of Pakistan with the Haqqani Network are baseless.

If the US wants to work against Haqqani Network, it should do it jointly along with Pakistan and prepare a strategy, Pakistan is ready to take joint action in this regard, he added.

He said the investigation report into the incident of attack on the PNS Mehran Base in Karachi is expected to be completed soon and action will be taken against    the responsible persons.

He declined to comment on Abbotabad incident and said the matter is subjudice.

Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said that the war against terrorism will continue and this war is impossible without Pakistan.

The Defense Minister said that we want to further strengthen our relations with the US.
