ISLAMABAD: Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim, Senior Minister for Commerce and a trade delegation arrived at Mumbai (India) on Monday on a five-day visit to India along with 80-member delegation of leading Pakistani businessmen.
On arrival at Mumbai, the delegation was received by Shahid Malik, High Commissioner of Pakistan to India and Harsh C Mariwala, President, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Pakistan High Commission sources in India said.
Later, Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim called on the Governor Maharashtra, Shri K Sankaranarayanan at the Raj Bhawan (Governor House).
Harsh C Mariwala, President (FICCI) is hosting a dinner in honour of Commerce Minister of Pakistan and delegation, this evening.
The Minister and delegation will be attending a business conference at Mumbai tomorrow, which has been organized by FICCI.
The Minister will be reaching New Delhi on Tuesday (September 27) and the formal talks between the Commerce Ministers of Pakistan and India are scheduled to be held on Wednesday (September 28) in New Delhi.
The Federal Secretary Commerce, Zafar Mahmood, Chief Executive, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Tariq Iqbal Puri are also accompanying the Federal Minister.
