Speaking on a point of order in National Assembly he said, up to 20,000 mw electricity would be produced from Thar coal project for next several years.

Work on Bhasha, Kohala, Neelum-Jhelum, Satpara and Gonal Zam would continue as well.

He lamented that projects to produce 25,000 mws were initiated in 1997 by former chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party, Benazir Bhutto but were ended abruptly by the successive government. He urged Supreme Court to take suo moto action for this crime against the nation. PPP was ready to present documentary proves in that regard, he added.
