Life offers us many things but we must decide for ourselves to accept those things or not. But there are also some things for which we must yearn. For without having made an effort to attain them, we might not realise its importance.

People say that man is free to do anything he wants, he can ‘live a happy life without any struggle. I disagree. A man is always in dire need of love, happiness and success. But he has to fight for everything. He may have to offer his wealth, go through many hardships and in the end he will be successful in his aim and will treasure it dearly.

If we look around we would surely find that an average man pines for many things that he thinks are the best. He has limitations and he can’t go beyond them. He leaps at any opportunity to do or get something that he desires. In today’s world people are running towards success. But this success couldn’t be achieved if the person has not acquired education. It is only after years spent pursuing education that one can truly attain success. Without sacrificing his dreams and childhood desires, for education, a one can never achieve success.

As a child, man has many dreams. He is impressed by many professions, but he must select one in which he is most interested.

But it often happens that when one gets something the person starts thinking that something else is better. The same is the case with the professional choice of a person, once he has become what he wanted to be, he may start thinking that some other profession would have been a better one for him. But he cannot fulfil his desires because changing careers is not easy. So it is better to focus on what you have and work hard on what you want to have, and be content with what you are able to attain after making hard and sincere efforts.

Never look at the other side of the garden fence because the grass there is bound to seem greener. Instead, tend to your own garden, plant beautiful flowers and trees, and enjoy their beauty and fruits when spring comes.

So friends, the best things in life are not free. There is always something that you must give or do to get them.
