Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated with jubilation and enthusiasm as one of the biggest Hindu festivals. People decorate their homes with flowers and Diyas (earthen lamps), celebrate the homecoming of the Lord Ram after vanquishing the deman king Ravana and honour the Hindu goddess of wealth, Lakshmi.

This festival is as illuminous as its name is. A happy Divali to all Indians and Pakistani Hindus and for me an evocative too.
I congratulate you for Diwali picture showing celebrations by Hindus the world over. What was even more heart warming was a Pakistani sister in Karachi lighting the Diyas. I commend this secular sentiment display by a leading Daily in Pakistan. Thank you and wishing prosperity to my Pakistani friends on this festive occasion.
