KARACHI: Amid uncertainty over which local government system would be introduced in the province, the Sindh Bachayo Committee announced on Saturday its plan to observe a ‘black day’ on Nov 6 to oppose a new local government system in the province.

SBC chief Jalal Mehmood Shah at a separate press conference said the people of Sindh would never accept any local body system against the wishes of Sindhi people and any such move would be ‘resisted’.

ANP’s Shahi Syed urged the government to revive the commissioner system in the province and restore the five districts of Karachi and the unified Hyderabad district.
