KARACHI, Nov 21: A Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader and provincial minister has urged British Prime Minister David Cameron to 'look into the activities' of former Sindh home minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza in the United Kingdom and expressed the hope that the premier would not “allow the British soil to be used for creating lawlessness in Karachi”.

Sindh Information Technology Minister Raza Haroon, who is a member of the MQM's coordination committee, has written a letter to Mr Cameron expressing concerns over what he termed a conspiracy being hatched by Dr Mirza to incite violence in Karachi.

According to a press release issued by the MQM here on Monday, Mr Haroon alleged in his letter that at a time when peace had been restored in Karachi because of the efforts by all stakeholders, Dr Mirza, who had been spurned by the government and the People's Party and the judiciary, was allegedly using the British soil to foment ethnic violence in the city.
