Port Qasim

KARACHI, Nov 23: CV Sea Land Washington and Al-Exander carrying containers were allotted berths at the Qasim International Container Terminal during the last 24 hours.

Four more ships carrying containers, diesel oil and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim.

Seven ships, namely Sea Land Washington, Al-Exander, Safina-2, Fonthida Naree, Ikan Tambak, Iron Kalypso and Angel No II were berthed to load/offload containers, rice, canola seeds, sunflower seeds, palm oil and chemicals, respectively.

A cargo volume of 53,143 tons -- 24,018 tons imports and 29,125 tons exports inclusive containerised cargo carried in 2,387 containers (TEUs)-- was handled at the port during the period.—APP
