LAHORE, Nov 25: Thick fog was reported on motorway’s stretch from Lahore to Pindi Bhattian and on the national highway from Lahore to Chichawatni on Friday.

Shallow to moderate fog was also reported in various cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Fog has started developing over the plains of the two provinces due to drop in night temperature, dry weather and enhanced humidity.

The Met office expected dense fog on the motorway from Pindi Bhattian to Lahore and Faisalabad during the night and on Saturday morning. Moderate fog is also expected over the motorway from Peshawar to Swabi and from the Salt Range to Pindi Bhattian.

The Met office forecast dry weather over most parts of the country with fog in the morning in Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sahiwal and Multan divisions.

Fog cleared in Lahore after the sunrise but it remained misty. The maximum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius and the minimum 13 degrees Celsius with 94 per cent humidity in the morning and 53 per cent in the evening.
