ISLAMABAD: Attorney General for Pakistan (AG) Molvi Anwar ul Haq did not represent Federation during preliminary proceedings in the Supreme Court on Memogate issue on Thursday.

A clarification issued from the Attorney General office on Saturday said that the AG appeared before the nine-member larger bench in terms of Order XXVII-A of Civil Procedure Code, 1908 as principal law office of the Court in response to a notice served upon him.

The notification was issued after some Tv talk shows gave the impression that federation was represented through the AG.
