KARACHI, Dec 7: Two ships carrying containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships were berthed during the last two days. They are: Marietta Bolten, with coal, Viona, Cooper River Bridge, APL Brisbane, with containers and Eastern Chemi, an oil-tanker, after the departure of 11 vessels during the last two days.

The ships, which departed were led by APL Zircon, MOL Bravery, Hyundai Express, Al-Ihsaa, Tao Brave, Sea Rose, Inonthi and Chemroad Quest.

They were followed by Oriental Protea, Cartagena, and Golden Exporess, while Marcam Pania, Taban-1, Emirates Kabir, Tessam Ocean Light, Oriental Kerria, and YM Fuzhou are due to sail out on Thursday.

Owing to two official holidays, cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow and only 78,552 tons of cargo, comprising 15,190 tons of export cargo and 53,362 tons of import tonnage, was handled during the last two days. The following ships are due on Thursday: Oriental Kerria, to load ethanol, and YM Fuzhou, with containers.
