ISLAMABAD: Former senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati, who recently resigned from the Senate and membership of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F), on Saturday joined Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI).
Addressing a news conference, he announced to join PTI and expressed the resolve to work hard for promotion of the party in every nook and corner of the country.
PTI Chief Imran Khan and Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Quershi were also present on the occasion.
Imran Khan welcomed Azam Swati in the party-fold and said that PTI is committed to work for welfare of the common men.
He said that PTI would announce its 'Programme' in a public meeting scheduled to be held in Karachi on December 25.
Highlighting the importance of Karachi, Khan said that the city is a hub of business activities and the party is giving a special attention to gain support of its people.
