LAHORE: Former Test cricketer Mushtaq Ahmad has announced that he will celebrate his walima ceremony here on Dec 26, some 17 years after his marriage.
Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, Mushtaq said he married some 17 years back but due to a heavy cricket schedule he could not arrange his walima ceremony, and now after discussing the issue with his family members he had decided to celebrate the event.
He said he had taken the decision in conformity with edicts of Sharia.
The cricketers’ children are also excited over the decision and said they were happy that they would attend the walima of their parents.
