LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Thursday said that the next elections will be transparent.

Talking to media representatives at the Punjab Assembly, he said his party (PML-N) will oppose martial law if it was tried to be imposed.

“This is a democratic and constitutional era and time has gone when establishment used to take decisions in closed rooms,” he added.

He said remnants of PML-Q were joining Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI). Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was one of the most anti-establishment parties at the moment, he added.

Sana said now people will only go to Imran Khan’s public gatherings for stealing chairs. He disclosed chairs worth Rs 10 million were looted in the public meeting at Kasur.

He disclosed that members of Tahrik-i-Insaf were reluctant to register a case in that regard. However PML-N has registered the case, he added.
