KARACHI, Dec 31: A man was gunned down outside his Orangi Town residence on Saturday, police said.

They said that armed riders targeted 51-year-old Muhammad Hussain in Tauheed Colony of Orangi Town's Sector 11 when he was washing his auto-rickshaw.

“People who witnessed the incident said that they saw two men escape from the crime-scene after the gun attack on a motorbike,” said DSP Tariq Malik, the area's sub-divisional police officer.

“The victim suffered three bullet wounds in the chest and the head. He died on the spot and the body was later shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.”

He was father of seven and a rickshaw driver by profession, said the DSP, adding that he had lived in the area for the last three decades.

The killing might have been motivated by some personal enmity, he added.
