MITHI, Jan 3: A twist in circumstances led to the kidnapping of a would-be-nine-year-old-bride and her mother by a young landlord who paid in advance Rs500,000 to his fiancé’s maternal uncle.
Miandad, a double dealer, sold in marriage nine-year-old orphaned daughter of his sister to a landlord for Rs500,000, Miandad paid only Rs100,000 to his sister who made a hue and cry and approached the media.
Sooner than later, news was splashed all over forcing the would-be-groom to realize the deal by hook or by crook, and he is being assumed to have kidnapped the widow and her daughter.
Hussain Benhpar, brother of the girl and resident of Kankio village, Chhachhro taluka told reporters that his kid sister was sold by their maternal uncle, Miandad to a young landlord Halim, resident of Satidera of Nagarparkar taluka against Rs500,000.
However, Miandad’s double game resulted in the kidnapping of my mother and sister by the henchmen of the landlord, he said. The landlord, he apprehended, might solemnize Nikah with his sister secretly as the ceremony was scheduled for the coming Thursday.

He appealed to DIG Mirprukhas, SSP Tharparkar and higher authorities to recover his kidnapped mother and sister.
When contacted SHO Chhachhro, Photo Khan Rahoomo told this scribe that police, as yet were unable to locate the kidnapped girl and her mother.
