MIRAMSHAH, Jan 12: Five people were killed and two others wounded when missiles fired by a US drone hit a compound in North Waziristan Agency on Thursday, sources said.

This was the second drone attack in the area in two days.

The sources said that the drone fired two missiles on the compound in Dattakhel area, some 40km west of Miramshah at around 6pm, targeting a car parked in the courtyard.

The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.

According to Reuters, two cars heading towards the border area were attacked and six people were killed.
