RALLIES SUPPORT ZARDARI, GILANI: Activists of the Pakistan People's Party and People's Students Federation took out processions in Quetta, Zhob and Nasirabad on Thursday, demonstrating support for President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

They assembled outside the press clubs and condemned reported attempts aimed at reopening the cases against the party's late leader Benazir Bhutto. They said the masses would frustrate thedesign of anti-democratic forces.

They said the PPP had a history of struggle against dictatorships and its founder Z.A. Bhutto and later his daughter Benazir Bhutto sacrificed their lives to protect the fundamental rights of people.

They lamented that once again the anti-democratic forces were conspiring against the democratically elected government led by the PPP.

However, they expressed the belief that the government would be able to come out of these conspiracies unscathed and complete its tenure.
