English county Leicestershire are reportedly in talks with former Pakistan international Mohammad Yousuf as the team looks to strengthen its batting order.

Yousuf, who last played for Pakistan in 2010 and has even kept himself away from domestic cricket in Pakistan, has had a brief stint with another county Warwickshire last season.

Head coach of Leicester Phil Whitticase told BBC: “Mohammad is one of the guys we have looked and we have offered something to him.

“But it doesn't mean we will get him. There are few areas to be discussed.”

The move, if it goes through, will come as welcome news for many in Pakistan who believe the 37-year-old Yousuf still has a few years of international cricket left in him.

A stint with Leicester could well bring the batsman back into the spotlight.

“Yousuf still has it, don’t know what he want though. I think he still has two years left in him,” former teammate and recently retired pacer Shoaib Akhtar said in an interview.

Mohammad Yousuf should comeback, he is one of the world class batsman with the right technique, skill & experience.PCB should show some courtesy to call him right back in the current series against England.

yes,of course.MuhammamdYousuf is a great player all the time.But the attitude of pcb is very rude , which is not a good sign for pakistani players.

Yousef is a world class batsman any team in the world would be delighted to him in their line whatever is the reason of not including him in the team but one thing is sure that he is still the no.1 batsman of Pakistan who can withstand the pace and swing in the pitches of Australia,England or S.Africa, his record shows how great a batsman he is.

Talent always speaks for itself and real talent speaks with a big bang. Same is the case with Mohammad Yousuf, one of the finest batsmen that the 'land of the pure' has ever produced in the gentlemen game of cricket. Leicestershire will definitely benefit from his God gifted talents and invaluable cricketing skills if they eventually hire his services. I am 100 percent sure that Mohammad Yousuf will help his new team in England not only to consolidate and reinfornce its middle order batting but also help them to win many matches in county cricket circuit of U.K., culminating in a win-win scenario for both the parties.

mohammad yousuf is one of the greatest player ever produced by pakistan land.he doesn,t need to show his talent.he is a full approved player.he has got good technique,experince and excellence.but pcb has ruined his career.if he plays continuely he may have made many records for pakistan.i think pakistan would need his experience and techniques at green pitches.he still has cricket in him.
