LAHORE, Jan 19: While Hunain Aamir (Punjab) hit the highest break of 98 in the National Under-21 Snooker Championship, both Sindh and Punjab maintained their supremacy on the third day of the event here on Thursday.

Hunain registered the break in the third frame to earn 3-0 win against Said Mohammad of Balochistan.

He won the first frame 92-6 while the second 6218s. Hunain completed his win by achieving the feat of hitting a break of 98.

Also, cueists from Sindh continued their good work onThursday.

Ghavish Khan remained winner in two matches.

First, he outplayedMohammad Junaid of Balochistan 3-1 having faced tough fight from the loser.

After losing the first frame rather easily 14-68, Junaid won the next frame by a close margin of 56-49.

But it was his last laugh, since Ghavish won the next two frames with command.

Then Ghavish defeated Said Mohammad of Balochistan.

Murtaza Iqbal Jagvani also remained winner in two matches for Sindh.

Though Murtaza defeated Rameez Aftab of Khbyer Pakhtunkhwa, he faced good fight throughout the match.

Murtaza also came outwinner against Saadam Hussain of Balochsitan in his second outing.

Other cueists from Sindh, who remained winners on the third day, were Khizar Aziz, Shahzaib Khan and Hammad-urRehman.

Cueists from Punjab also had a happy day with six wins to their credit.

Hamid Yousuaf, Ali Dar, Hamid Younus, Abdul Rahim, Mian Qaiser and Hunain remained winners for Punjab.
