KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Saturday claimed that his party would emerge as the largest political party of the country.

The Sukkur public meeting has demonstrated that the people of Pakistan, particularly the people of Sindh, are looking at MQM for the solution of their problems, said Altaf.

The MQM chief was speaking to a gathering of party workers who had arrived at the MQM headquarters in Karachi to celebrate the success of the public meeting organised by the party in Sukkur, said a statement issued by MQM here on Saturday.

Altaf expressed his apprehensions on the occurrence of killings in Karachi and said that the conspirators were trying to disturb peace in that city.
