BUTTLE tehsil of Mansehra district was badly affected by the earthquake in 2005. People’s houses, government offices and the government hospital were destroyed. The job of rebuilding of the same hospital was assigned to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
The construction work has been in progress for the last six years. But the officials of the PRCS are not paying due attention to the construction of the government hospital and are thus causing great misery to the people. The work on electricity, sanitary, footpaths, etc., is yet to be completed. I feel if the organisation concerned pays due attention to this project, it can be completed in two weeks. The government and related subsidiaries should ensure that work is completed on a priority basis, especially the construction of the government hospital.
