The World Wildlife Fund – Pakistan organised an event on February 2, 2012, as part of World Wetland at the Sandspit area of Karachi.
Around 200 students belonging to four government schools nearby participated in speech and drawing competitions, as well as planting mangrove saplings in the area.
Some students also presented a thought provoking tableau about mangroves degradation and the benefits of conservation. – Text and photos by Hussain Afzal/Dawn.com
