LARKANA: The Sindh Culture Department has decided to get repaired an antique car, a Ford model of Jeep, of Sir John Marshall who unearthed 5000-year-old ruins of Moenjodaro in 1922, and put it on display.
Abdul Aziz Uqaili, secretary of culture, told Dawn on Friday that the department had contacted a number of authorised dealers in this regard.
The department would get estimated costs from different companies and put it before the Executive Board of National Fund for Moenjodaro (NFM), he said.
Sindh Minister for Culture, Sassui Palijo who also headed the NFM, would chair a meeting on this issue in Karachi on Feb 14. The Jeep would be repaired after approval of NFM and would be put on display for tourists and visitors at Moenjodaro, he said.
The department would send a team on Saturday to transport the Jeep to Karachi for repairs, said Irshad Rid, curator of Moenjodaro.

Good. Must do it.
