ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Tuesday constituted a five members committee to finalize party candidates for the forthcoming Senate elections.

During a meeting held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, it was decided to form a committee which would finalize the names of candidates for the Senate election.

However, the committee will send the names to PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif for final approval.

According to sources, about 200 candidates of PML-N applied to contest the Senate polls out of which 30 were shortlisted for an interview.
